What we do in Fire Explorers

Activities

Activities have included assisting with Fire Prevention Week programs, and holding  fundraising events throughout the year to raise money for educational materials and firefighting protective gear. Fundraisers have included a pancake breakfast, hotdog and bean dinners and Rotary dinners.  The Explorer Post is  very active in regular department trainings.  Along with their trainings, the Explorers also participate in many fire station duties, such as washing the apparatus, sweeping the floors and conducting tests of the emergency doors and lights.  The Explorers often assist with community event coverage and also represent the Town by participating in parades throughout the area.

Learning
